Sand and Sky Boutique Hotel

The Sand and Sky boutique hotel project was conceived with the idea of designing an exclusive establishment located on Tetuán Street in Old San Juan, specifically catering to entrepreneurs or those seeking long-term stays. It consists of 8 floors and a total of 60 rooms. The concept is inspired by the sand dollar, emphasizing the relationship between the sand and the sky. Although it belongs to the shores of the coast, the sand dollar has bones inside that, when exposed, resemble birds or "doves." The hotel's structure presents a unique and organic shape, each different from the others. It is suggested that the five "doves" represent freedom and the ability to choose your own path in life.

Throughout the different floors, there is a visual transition that reflects the interconnectedness between the sand, the sea, and the sky. Specific areas were focused on during the project's development, with the recep- tion inspired by the texture of the sand, the gym drawing inspiration from the sea, and the sky bar whose design is influenced by the sky.
